What is UCDC?
Upper Cumberland Diaper Coalition (UCDC) provides free emergency diaper assistance to families facing crisis, filling a critical need in our community.
With no other diaper resources available within 100 miles, we’re here to ensure no parent has to choose between a clean diaper and other essentials for their family.
“On average monthly supply of diapers costs $80 to more than $100. The only federal assistance program that can be used for diapers is TANF, but TANF has to cover many other expenses, including heat, electric and water bills, rent, clothing, transportation, and other basic needs. Little if any money is available to purchase enough diapers to keep a baby clean, dry, and healthy.”
