Frequently Asked Questions

General Info

While we have qualified and experienced staff who are able to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child, we do require parents stay with their child at Adventure Gym during all caregiver involved classes and Explorer’s time. Adventure Club, Homeschool Hangout, and Parents Night Out are the only programs that allow for drop-off currently.

At Adventure Gym, the safety and well-being of our little adventurers are at the heart of everything we do. Our thoughtfully designed safety protocols create a clean, secure, and welcoming environment where your littles can explore, grow, and thrive.

Cleanliness Protocols
We take cleanliness seriously to provide a healthy environment for everyone. Mats, equipment, and toys are sanitized before morning classes, during lunch, and after evening sessions. Once a week, we close the gym for a full deep clean and reset, ensuring every corner of our space meets the highest standards.

Throughout the day, any toy that ends up in a little adventurer’s mouth can be placed in one of our red “yuck buckets” on the wall. These baskets are specifically designated for items needing thorough sanitization before being returned to use.

Equipment Safety
Safety is at the foundation of our gym’s design. Impact-absorbing flooring provides extra protection for little adventurers as they play, and all equipment is regularly inspected and maintained to ensure it’s safe and ready for use.

For added reassurance, any wall-mounted equipment is designed and installed to support the weight of an adult. Parents and caregivers should feel confident climbing on equipment to safely assist their child if needed. Our goal is to create a space where both littles and adults feel secure and supported.

While occasional bumps and scrapes are a natural part of childhood, we’ve taken every precaution to minimize risks and ensure a safe environment for all.

Trained and Caring Team
Adventure Gym’s team is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for every little adventurer. All staff members are certified in CPR and First Aid, ensuring they’re prepared to handle any situation. We also prioritize ongoing training and continuing education to stay current with best practices in child safety and development.

Adventure Gym founder, Mrs. Sarah, brings a strong background in early childhood and special education, as well as certifications as a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) and former Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Her expertise in gymnastics and Adult & Me programming further shapes the thoughtful programs and practices designed to support the families we serve.

Life-Saving Measures
During Adult & Me classes, caregivers act as the first line of protection for their littles—similar to a lifeguard’s role at the pool. Our team is here to guide, assist, and ensure a safe experience for everyone.

To further support safety, the gym is equipped with life-saving tools, including an onsite AED, a burn and Stop the Bleed kit, ice packs, and a fully stocked first aid kit. These resources help us stay prepared for any situation, big or small.

Facility Security
We’ve implemented thoughtful measures to keep little adventurers safe. For increased security, the gym doors stay locked when classes are not in session. If you need to visit during non-class hours, simply contact us in advance, and we’ll gladly accommodate.

For drop-off programs like Adventure Club and Homeschool Hangout, the front door is locked once all little adventurers are dropped off and remains locked until pick-up. If your child needs to leave early, just let us know, and we’ll assist you. To maintain a safe environment, only parents, caregivers, or guardians are permitted inside the facility during drop-off programs or events.

Our Commitment to Safety
At Adventure Gym, we understand the trust you place in us when you bring your little adventurers to play, learn, and grow. Every measure we’ve implemented is designed to protect and support them. From maintaining a clean and secure facility to equipping our team with the tools and training they need, our goal is to provide a safe, inclusive space where your littles can confidently explore, thrive, and just be kids.

To maintain the safety and cleanliness of our facility, we kindly ask all participants to remove their shoes and littles to remove their socks before entering the gym floor. Bare feet or socks (optional for adults only) are allowed in the gym area. Going barefoot helps protect the play structures, mats, and other equipment from damage while also reducing the risk of slips and falls, promoting a safer environment for active play.

We understand that some children may have medical or sensory needs that make wearing socks necessary. In these cases, we allow socks with rubber grippers to provide the required grip and support. If your child needs this accommodation, please let our team know, and we will work with you to ensure their comfort and safety.

In general, shoes are not permitted beyond the lobby area. However, we recognize that some participants may have specific medical or sensory needs requiring shoes inside the gym. If this applies to your family, please reach out to us and we’ll gladly address your unique situation

At Adventure Gym, the well-being and safety of all children attending our facility are our top priorities. In order to maintain a healthy environment, we have strict guidelines regarding illness.

We kindly request that if your child exhibits any signs of illness, they do not attend any class or event. To ensure the well-being of all, we require that children remain symptom-free for a minimum of 24 hours before returning after any illness. In the case of a contagious illness diagnosis, we ask for a minimum of 48 hours of symptom-free recovery before returning.

If your child is diagnosed with Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), we understand the severity of this illness and its potential impact on young children & infants. Therefore, we offer the option to pause your membership for 2-4 weeks to allow for a proper recovery period. To protect the vulnerable age group in our facility, we kindly request that children diagnosed with RSV do not return to Adventure Gym earlier than 14 days after their diagnosis.

By adhering to these guidelines and protocols, we aim to maintain a healthy and safe environment for all children attending Adventure Gym. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping everyone’s well-being in mind.

Our goal is to see your child happy and healthy in the gym. We will extend your class credits to make sure they do not expire while you are away and so there is no need for little ones to have FOMO. But please be advised, our staff have the discretion to ask families to come back at a late date. Remember our staff love kids, especially yours, so they are just trying to keep everyone safe.
